How does apprenticeship funding work?
Funding depends on the programme, employer and learner. Our team can explain the options and confirm current requirements. The calculator on this website is an illustrative estimate, not a funding decision.
Who can apply for an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships combine a job with structured learning. Suitability depends on your role, experience and circumstances. Use our pathway checker to start exploring, then speak to our team.
Can I learn online?
Delivery varies by programme and may combine workplace experience, online learning and tutor support. Check the course page and confirm the arrangements with our team.
Where does Nextstep deliver training?
Nextstep is based in London and delivers apprenticeships in London and across England. Contact us to check availability for your programme and location.
What does it cost an employer to take on an apprentice?
Levy-paying employers use their levy funds. Other employers usually contribute 5% of the training and assessment cost, with the government paying the rest up to the funding band maximum. You also pay the apprentice’s wages. Our team will confirm the figures for your programme.
Do apprentices pay for their training?
No. Apprentices do not pay fees for their apprenticeship training, which is funded through the employer’s levy funds or government co-investment. Apprentices are paid employees. Speak to our team about the programme you are interested in.
